Expiring SEPTA Key Senior Cards

Due to contact issues caused by the Pandemic, SEPTA extended the printed expiration date on Senior Fare Cards. Senior Fare Cards with expiration dates between January 2020 and December 2022 have been extended until the same expiration month in 2023.

The expiration month will remain the same, but the expiration year has been extended to 2023.

Senior Key Cards with printed expiration dates of 2020, 2021 and 2022 will now remain effective through the end of the month printed on the card in 2023. For example:

  • A card with a May 2020 (5/20) expiration date will continue to be valid for travel through May 2023 (5/23)

  • A card with a May 2021 (5/21) expiration date will continue to be valid for travel through May 2023 (5/23)

  • A card with a May 2022 (5/22) expiration date will continue to be valid for travel through May 2023 (5/23)
